A Walking Update
Just a quick post to give you an update of the walking. My lovely Mum took a video last time she was down to visit. It gives you an idea of the improvements I have made since being in the US.
The biggest improvements for mine are being able to do it without gloves, being able to talk whilst I walk, and not having to lock my knees with every step. Aside from this I can turn around and walk a lot quicker and have just started learning how to do steps.
Enjoy,
Mike.

Words fail me Michael – I’m amazed at what you have achieved against all odds – inspiration is not a strong enough word for what you are doing for yourself and all who follow you – you’re setting a new benchmark.
Thank god you didn’t listen to those who said it wasn’t possible.

You are one amazing person. You pop into my mind regularly and I often peek at the website to see your progress.I am in Houston Texas now and after having 2 kids am so scared to ride on the road.Hopefully when I come home to Melbourne I will feel safer if Beach Rd becomes more bike friendly.Well done on your selfless effort to try and improve it.I for one appreciate your commitment having lost my dear friend Marcus Galbraith many years ago from a bike accident.
Take care mate….continue to inspire the world

Hi Mike – you are doing fantastic, it’s awesome to see you up and about.
I was thinking of you this weekend. I was on a seminar by Don Tolman in St Kilda on self-care and education and they showed a video clip of someone who had recovered full mobility after being in a similar situation to you. It’s inspirational and I know you’ll be doing the same…
Check it out http://www.dontolmaninternational.com/portal/content/view/42/102/
I think you’ll like it. Love to the family.
