Hi Folks
Just got a message from Monica. Mike is really, really tired today and just wondering if visitors could defer their visit to Tuesday or afterwards.
He’s got another operation scheduled for tomorrow (Monday) to remove his trache tube. This is fantastic news for two reasons…… firstly, it means that Mike has been breathing so well by himself that the medical staff are confident he won’t need the assistance of the respirator anymore, and secondly, he’ll be able to TALK WHENEVER HE WANTS. He now won’t have to ask for the nurses to close off his trache tube just to say a few words.
So when you do get the chance to go in and see Mike in hospital, he’ll be able to chat away as much as he likes.
